Justin Tyler is the Service Manager for the Central Florida division of the C.L. Burks Florida Office, bringing with him a remarkable journey through the roofing industry. He began his roofing career in late 2010, starting quite literally from the ground up—working in a dumpster on a production crew in the Carolinas. Through sheer determination and hard work, Justin quickly learned the ropes, earning the ability to handle a drill and transitioning to a helper role on a service truck by the end of his first year. By his second year, Justin had moved into a roof inspector role with the same company, gaining valuable experience in identifying roof deficiencies and managing repairs. In his third year, he was promoted to warehouse manager, where he oversaw all production and service materials, equipment, and safety gear for projects across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This position marked the beginning of his leadership roles in the roofing industry. Justin's drive for excellence took him to a new roofing company in Charlotte, where he was promoted to Service Sales Manager in their Charleston office. His first year in Charleston was marked by extraordinary success, exceeding sales goals by 200%. Recognizing his potential, the company tasked him with moving to Florida to open a new branch. His ability to grow business in the Jacksonville market led to the sustainable opening of a new branch, while simultaneously ensuring the Central Florida branch in Orlando did not experience any loss in profit—a testament to his skill in balancing growth and efficiency. After five years in this leadership role, Justin transitioned into a business development position as an outside customer service and sales representative, a role he held for two years before joining C.L. Burks. His ability to foster strong client relationships and balance everything coming at him makes him a perfect fit for his current role as Service Manager. Justin’s diverse career before roofing included working as an Assistant Manager for Fastenal in Orangeburg, SC, and as an Investment Banker for Wachovia Bank NA, where he gained significant expertise in financial instruments. In 2006, he ventured into entrepreneurship, starting a textbook wholesale company that he successfully ran until it was bought out in 2010. After selling his business, Justin worked in his uncle’s industrial electrical company, which ultimately led him to discover his passion for commercial and industrial roofing. Born in Coffee County, GA, Justin now resides in DeLand, FL, with his wife, Samantha, and their four children. Outside of his professional life, Justin is an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time in the woods and swamps with his family. He enjoys teaching his children about nature, hunting, and the importance of appreciating the beauty of God’s creation. Through these experiences, he instills in his children the power of positive thinking and the value of hard work. The Tyler family are also active members of the First Baptist Church of Umatilla, FL, where their faith plays an integral role in their lives. Justin’s career and life reflect a deep commitment to growth, both professionally and personally, while always staying grounded in his values of faith, family, and perseverance.
